Our Rating:
4/5

We’ve stayed at this park a couple of times as it’s a convenient last overnight stop on our way home from points north. Both times we stayed in one of the pull-thru sites at the front of the park. Turns going to these sites are a little sharp for a big rig with a toad, but we made it without issue.

The sites are more than long enough for our coach w/toad attached, but all of the connections are at the rear of the site. That means either using extra sewer and water hoses (and possibly a power cord extension) or unhooking the toad and parking the motorhome at the back of the site. It feels like these sites were designed for a tow-behind trailer or 5th wheel, so if you are in a motorhome and towing you may prefer to unhook for easier access to the utilities (as we did).

In the front (pull-thru) section, the sites are concrete pads. Most of these have some shade from trees and have a covered (shaded) picnic table and a grill and firepit in a gravel area in addition to a small grassy area. There is some noise from the nearby road, but it wasn’t an issue inside with the AC running. The sites were very well-kept, clean and with raked gravel. There seemed to be multiple teams of workers cleaning sites and raking gravel the morning we were there.

We didn’t use the restrooms or shower facilities but did look at them. They were relatively clean, but current signage indicates they are only cleaned 3x/week, so YMMV.

There is a boat ramp and lake access, although there is not a dedicated swimming beach at this park. There is, however a small play area for the kids along with plenty of open space.

Not a bad stop for our last night on the road. 🙂

Happy trails!
